Unfortunately I’ve made an edit to one of your favorite Earth, Wind and Fire lyrics

While I wanted your work memorial to be on the 21st of September, as the song sings, one of your close coworkers is away that day.

So September 20th it is!

You didn’t want a memorial, you didn’t want anything, I’m not sure if you knew you were worthy of being remembered.

So to bad so sad, your coworkers not only really wanted a gathering to remember you, but they also sent me numerous lovely emails about you with stories and memories.

You touched so many people. You taught so many young apprentices. You were always kind to anyone you met. I wish you knew how many people admire and miss you.

I know you hate obituary funeral pamphlets. I couldn’t not do something though.

I’ve made cards for your coworkers. On the front is the drawing of your windsock you created for work. I know you were so proud of all of your ideas and projects at work, but the windsock was your favorite. It’s still up, and there will now always be, a safety windsock.

Inside the card I wrote a small blurb about the meaning of your symbol, the endless knot. I also added your view on life and some of your life wisdom you always lived by.

Everyone also will get a small little keychain, with the endless knot.

Maybe one keychain will be placed on a work key ring, maybe another in someones tool box. I have no expectations for these or for people to use them. I just wanted to give everyone a small memento that represents the amazing person you were.

I hope your smiling while rolling your eyes at how sappy I am.

Everyone is also bringing milk, as i guess you brought a liter of milk to work everyday.

And yes, there will be carrots there for the bunnies.

I can’t wait to hear all of the wonderful stories and memories that I havnt heard yet.
